What is the difference between full and auxiliary air suspension?
Full air suspension (VB-FullAir 4C, VB-ActiveAir) uses air springs on both the front and the rear axle, with four level sensors. Auxiliary air suspension (VB-SemiAir, VB-LevelAir) complements the existing suspension with air springs, usually on the rear axle.
Do I have to adjust the ride height while driving?
Not with VB-FullAir 4C. While driving, the vehicle always stays at the ride height set during installation, which is ideal for comfort and stability. When stationary, the entry or loading height can be raised and lowered.
Do I need a compressor for the VB-SemiAir basic system?
The basic system is inflated from an external air source, such as a tyre compressor. VB-SemiAir comfort comes with its own high-performance compressor and a digital control panel, and VB-LevelAir controls the level automatically.
Can air suspension be combined with a wheelchair lift or a conversion?
Yes. VB-Airsuspension systems can be combined with wheelchair lifts, body conversions and interior modules. We recommend the exact solution after the assessment.
Who can install the system?
VB-Airsuspension supplies and installs its systems exclusively through certified VB-Partners. In Hungary, we can help you with this.
How long does installation take?
It depends on the vehicle and the system. We give you the expected time in our quote and agree the installation date in advance.
Do you also service systems that were not installed by you?
Yes. We inspect, maintain and repair VB-Airsuspension systems even if they were installed elsewhere. Service and maintenance
How often does air suspension need maintenance?
A preventive inspection is recommended once a year; beyond that, come in if the vehicle sinks while parked, the compressor runs unusually often, or the control panel reports an error.
